What is your name and what city do you rep?

My name is Dakoda C but I’m known as Emcee Malice. The city I am from and rep is Mount Sterling, Ky.

What is unique about you and your music?
The thing I would really say is unique about me and my music is I’m different. I keep it 100 and I never bullshit in my tracks. Another thing that would be considered unique about me is I’m a white guy from KY with a mic. Im an independent artist and distribute my own stuff. Right now you can find all my favorite stuff on soundcloud but soon they will all be on Spotify and the digital stores. Now some of the tracks aren’t good honestly my newest stuff is where its at. Another thing unique about me is right now I am independent I buy the beats and I’m also learning how to make beats. And I mix and master my own stuff soon believe is or not K.E On The Track wants to have a 1 on 1 with me because, he believes we can make hits together so he will be my producer.
What shaped your music?
The thing that shaped my music is my bad childhood. Honestly i started rapping at 5 years old mainly it was nursery rhymes haha. Started writing my stuff at 8 or 9. And then recording at 9 or 10. Another thing is the negativity I have received in the past before i even improved and in all honesty im still working on my flow. But you cant get worst just better. As soon as people realized in school that I was a white guy with a mic rapping in KY the bullying started. Mainly it was asshole rednecks throwing shit at me. One day we had a assignment in class that we had to write a poem, song, or story about King Arthur The Third and i played my hip hop song in class. It was called King Arthur and then everyone started fucking with me. I removed that old soundcloud account though cause honestly I was mainly shouting and never on beat haha. I stopped recording for 3 long hard years after my papaw passed away. I never stopped writing though in that time frame it gave me time to work on my flaws. Some of my older stuff I’m not on beat or it dont make since and the lyrical stuff isn’t as tight as my newest stuff. My new tracks that are my best is Success, Radio, Survive, Caddy, and the other thing im writing now called Ky Guy With Rhymes. You can download all those free on Soundcloud but soon the only way to get them will be either listening to them on Spotify, or buying them from the digital stores.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I realized I was going to make music professionally when I was at a young age. Haven’t went on tour yet but im working on that. Still building up my fan base. Music has always made my life. Started as poetry and to me its so simple.
What type of music do you listen to?  What genre do you make?
I listen to Hip Hop and Pop music. I make both those genres but mainly Hip Hop cause I suck ass at singing .
Who, to you, is the most undervalued music artist?
The most undervalued artist in my opinion has to be Tom Macdonald. He keeps it 100 and isn’t scared to call out the bullshit. His music is probably at the top of my list.
Who would you collab with out of any Artist or Producer?
The artist I would love to collaborate with if I ever had the chance would be Logic, Tom, Eminem, or Token just because, they are lyrical geniuses and I feel our music would mix decently I may not be as lyrical as them but that’d be dope, I may even like to collab with A few of the new age people. The producer I would love to collaborate with is Lx Xander or K.E On The Track (May happen soon after mine and his 1 on 1! )
What ignites your writing & creative juices?
The main stuff that ignites my writing and creative process. Is I want to be and I feel I will be the first Rapper to make it that lives in Mount Sterling, KY. I want to prove everyone wrong there is some dope artists from here that just stopped because, of me calling them out or because, they gave up on trying. I can think of an Idea to write about randomly. And sometimes I just bust out a dope freestyle and record it or write it down then turn it to a track.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
I always write lyrics, but when I am not recording I am at my 9-5 job for my Wife and 3 kids. But I always write music I will make the time to even if I’m at work. Music is my life and I want to give them a life I never had. Another thing I do is learn MMA, Krav Maga and boxing for self defense.
If you weren’t making music professionally, what would you be doing?
In a new track I’m working on called Prolly it says what I would be doing. I would be a soldier if I didn’t change my mind, be a fighter if I didnt pick up the mic, or die to suicide if i never met my wife and start to rhyme. I’ve had a tough life use to walk from store to store to maybe get a bite to eat, dealt with bullies, and would always be beat my real dad I was never claimed by anyone besides my mom, papaw, and now my step dad.
Success To You Is…..
Success to me is waking up everyday knowing you didn’t give up. Going for your dreams bypassing the hate because, you want it so bad you will go get it. Waking up to people dm’ing you thousands of times a day saying they love your stuff, people knowing your name, but mainly success is never saying never.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help an artist starting out?
I wish I knew when I first started making music that the main important parts of music is truth, the flow is very important in making a hit song, lyricism is the key and going by the tempo is the way to go. if you want to get famous you need to have great mixing and mastering skills or have someone to do it for you. You need to put money into your stuff if you want to go far to be taken seriously. I’m actually working on a new album called Resurrection and out money into my music daily. After i worked on all those things a bunch of new people is noticing my stuff even some verified accounts like my stuff. Hashtags help alot.
Any upcoming projects or tracks you are apart of?
Yes. I am actually working on my first album called Resurrection! The cover is done just have a few more tracks to re-write, record, and add to it then it will be released on Spotify and the digital stores all around!
Where do we find you music / social media?
Soon spotify, and the digital stores but right now instagram @realmaliceofficial and soundcloud.com/master_malice. Spotify already has one of my tracks up but not my best ones and I am already a verified artist on it. Follow me on Instagram for updates!
